We're Back!

Yes, we are back from our wonderful vacation that went by way too fast!! All four of us went for the first 1/2 and then Bob came back home early while the kids and I stayed an extra week and a half. We had so much fun shopping and eating out but the best by far was seeing family that we hadn't seen in over a year. The kids were able to see their 3 great-grandmas whom they haven't seen in 2 1/2 years. They met new cousins and got re-acquainted with the rest. I took enough pictures to keep the blog going for a very long time but I didn't want to post them all at once. :) Here are a few of the highlights:
1. Mackenzie couldn't stop talking about riding horses. She loved it!
2. My cousin Cameron graduated from Mason City, IA and we were able to attend his party and wish him farwell as he joins the Air Force. (Go Air Force!!) We couldn't leave Mason City until we had a picture of our Mason in front of the sign. Poor kid it was probably less than 60 degrees that day (It actually got as low as 49 degrees!! Way too cold for us!) but we got the picture!
3. The third picture was at the Children's Museum in Omaha. They had a dinosaur exhibit which was perfect for our little palentologist. He loved it!
4. The last picture was taken at Bob's brother's house in Bellevue. They have a pond in their backyard that Mason was "fishing" in. I think Mackenzie and her cousin Michaela were throwing rocks in the pond. Shhh, don't tell Bill and Tina! :)
Anyway, like I said we had a great time and I'm sure I'll be posting many more vacation pictures. Stay tuned!!

Heading to Nebraska!

Most people get excited about a vacation to Hawaii but I am more than excited to come home for a visit!! :)
One last funny story.... This morning was Mason's last day of school. I drove Mason and two neighbor kids. Someone said something about the s-word. Mason said "I know the sh-word!" I said, "What? Where did you hear the sh-word?!" So when he got out of the car I had him whisper it to me, after I assured him that he could tell me it without getting in trouble. He got real close to my ear and said, "shut-up". I held back my smile of relief and reiterated that he's right we don't say that! :)
I'm not sure if I'll be blogging on vacation. :)

Aloha everyone! I just thought I'd give a quick update on our weekend. Saturday we went to a friend's 8th birthday party. Kenzie was the only "little kid" there but she felt like such a big girl. They painted frog boxes.
Other than that we have had a pretty uneventful weekend. Bob had some maintenence done on the Honda Saturday and since it was going to take all day they loaned him a 2006 Maxima. Bad idea! That car made his old Ford seem even worse. Poor Bob. :(
Well, I am going to try and get some packing/organizing done before we head back to church tonight. Mason has started Royal Rangers and Kenzie has Rainbows. I can't believe we leave in 48 hours! Wow, now that I put it that way I better get to it! :)

At the zoo...

Mason and I had fun at the zoo yesterday with his Kindergarden class. It was quite hot but a good time anyway. Not much to write but I wanted to get some pictures up since I hadn't posted since Monday. :)
