Kauai vacation

We've been back a week now from our trip to Kauai but I haven't had the time or energy to blog. Kauai was peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful! We loved it! 

Mason and Mackenzie's favorite thing by far were the pools at our hotel. We picked this hotel for that very reason and weren't disappointed. I think there were 5 different pools, including a sand pool and one with a slide! 

Even the big kid had fun on the waterslide! 

Kauai is famous for having chickens everywhere. There are different theories on why they have just taken over the island but seriously you don't go anywhere without seeing (or hearing) chickens and roosters. 

These last few pictures are of Waimea Canyon, the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". On our way up it was rainy and foggy as you can see in the bottom pictures, but we got a beautiful view after it cleared up. 



All in all, a wonderful relaxing time in Kauai! :)
