Hi there everyone! We've had a pretty crazy week. It was Homecoming week at school and even the elementary got in on the act with dressing up. Mason had a blast and participated all the way. Kenzie didn't get as into it as much but she did enjoy the chance to be out of uniform. :) We don't have much going on this weekend, which is good because I have a lot of papers to grade. :(
Anyway, enjoy the pics.
Topsy-Turvy Thursday (AKA: Wacky clothes/hair)

It was also the 100th day of school on Thursday, which is a big deal in Kindergarten. Kenzie had to do a project using 100 items. We chose pencils because Mason went through a "pencil collection" phase a while back and we actually had 83 new, unsharpened pencils lying around our house. So, we only had to come up with a few more which really isn't hard for a teacher. :)

Kenzie and her "twin" on Twin Tuesday.

My favorite, Math-lete Monday. (Dress like a smarty pants or nerd.) I was so proud of Mason because he went all out even on the first day. He used to get embarrassed easily and worried about getting laughed at, but not this time. Do you like the glasses Bob made for him?
By the way, I don't have a picture of it, but Wednesday was to dress up as "What you want to be when you grow up." Mason was an animal scientist and Kenzie was a veterinarian. Maybe we do need a pet...

Things we do...

I guess I'm past due for a blog update. January is half over and it seems like a little like we're still on Christmas break. We had a day off this Friday (Jan. 16) because the islands were supposed to get high/dangerous wind conditions. It turned out to be a pretty nice day though. That's Ok, I'm not complaining. And today being MLK we ended up with a four day weekend. It's been nice.
Anyway, having all the time off has been really great. We have been able to spend a lot of time together as a family playing games and as the pictures show, other odd things.

Bob and Mason on the trolly ride downtown.

The next couple of pictures are courtesy of Grandma Kaup. She sent Kenzie some formable spray soap stuff for Christmas. Luckily it cleans up pretty well. Needless to say, it went fast.

Kenzie has graduated from hair cutting to doing highlights. She even took a piece of toilet paper and put it around my neck before putting on the towel. (Had it been real, I think my highlights would have been a little uneven.)

One day the kids and dad decided to take apart the old, broken laptop. Don't ask me why. Some of the things that go on around this house are just odd. :)

Last Saturday we surprised the kids with a dolphin encounter at Sea Life Park. (Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Stanley!!)
The water was cold but they had a great time getting to dance, touch, and kiss a dolphin. I didn't have a great view to take pictures but here are a few.
