So here's a funny story for your week....
Kenzie and I were at the store last night and saw a display of cabbage patch dolls. Now being a child of the 80s, I think they are adorable. But, Kenzie right away said, "I am not getting one of those!". I said, "Oh, why not they're so cute!" She proceeded to tell me, "Mom, I saw this commercial where this girl got one for her birthday and it grew and grew up until it could drive a car."
It took me a while to realize she was talking about the Geico commercial. I laughed so hard. I guess I can understand now why she feels that way. As we walked back past them she said, "They really freak me out!"
Anyway, if you haven't seen the video it's below. Enjoy!

I agree with Kenzie, I thought they were ugly little dolls back then :) first time seeing the commercial though, that's funny!

OH MY GOSH! That is HILARIOUS! I have never seen that commercial before! How stinkin' clever is THAT?!? Yeah, I can see how Kenz would be a bit freaked out... personally I think they're still cute... but that's because I never owned a REAL one... only the fake knock off versions as "santa" was too cheap to buy the real thing. Yep, still bitter over that. :)

How cute! I've seen the commercial and it freaks me out too! I didn't know the dolls were on the market again. If Kenzie doesn't like them, Chloe probably doesn't either.
    Have a great day!

That is hilarious! After seeing the commerical I'd like to say that I think Kenzie is showing some great discernment. It was a bit freaky. I wonder if Geico is facing a libel lawsuit by the Cabbage Patch doll makers...Thanks for sharing! This age is so fun.

I think the cabbage pach doll I played with probably was old enough to drive a car seeing as it was amys and then rebeccas and then mine! Kenzie can have that one if she wants :)

Here it is Friday morning at the office and I am catching up on all the latest. We have seen this commercial and I think it's pretty clever. Sorry girls the real ones were too expensive way back then..I just brought one out of hiding a few days ago and Emma dressed and undressed her a few times. Lauren loves and hugs them all so she's not freaked out! Amy the pictures of the pumpkins are so cute. I know I'm alittle late but just saw them and had to say they are very cute. I don't know where the time goes..November already!! Just love all the pictures...take care everyone. Love

I remember taking the cabbage patch oath to be the best cabbage patch mom that I could be, but I will have to say that if my doll had grown that big I would have disowned her . . . I agree with Kenzie, it's just scary:)
